Amber is the owner of Sampson Family Therapy Services, LLC . She is licensed by the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science as an independently Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. She specializes in Couples and Family Therapy and has been practicing couples, family, and individual therapy since 2006. Amber is a strong LGBT ally, Clinical Fellow in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Iowa Clinical Supervisor, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and past board member of the Iowa Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She taught ethics and diversity courses at Iowa State University in the Couples and Family Therapy program.

Amber is a direct, driven, and supportive person. She takes her professional work seriously but also believes in finding joy and fun in daily life. Her passion lives in helping people find their own definition of happy and healthy. Amber maintains a high level of confidentiality, ethical standard, and professionalism.

Amber meets the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science and Iowa Board of Social Work requirements mandated to provide clinical supervision to temporary licensed clinicians working toward independent clinical licensure. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor meeting nationally approved standards for supervision provision. In addition to supervising students in clinical graduate programs for practicum/internships and provisionally licensed therapists working toward full licensure in the state of Iowa, Amber also provides AAMFT Approved Supervisor Mentoring for Approved Supervisor Candidates.
