Supervisors:
Gabby Archibald LISW, RPT-S
Gabby meets the Iowa Board of Social Work and Iowa Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements mandated to provide clinical supervision to Master's level clinicians working towards full licensure. Gabby's training incorporates experience in serving clients across the lifespan. Additionally, she is a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor and supervises clinicians in pursuit of the designation of Registered Play Therapist.
Rena Olsen M.A. LMFT
Rena meets the Iowa Board of Behavioral Sciences and Iowa Board of Social Work requirements mandated to provide clinical supervision to temporary licensed couples and family therapists, temporary licensed mental health counselors, and LMSW's working toward independent clinical licensure. Rena is also working toward being an AAMFT approved supervisor under the mentorship of Amber Sampson. Additionally, she is a candidate for EMDR certification, meeting the standards set forth by the EMDR International Association. Rena specializes in trauma treatment in her practice.
Amber Sampson M.S. LMFT-S
Amber meets the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science and Iowa Board of Social Work requirements mandated to provide clinical supervision to temporary licensed clinicians working toward independent clinical licensure. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor meeting nationally approved standards for supervision provision. In addition to supervising students in clinical graduate programs for practicum/internships and provisionally licensed therapists working toward full licensure in the state of Iowa, Amber also provides AAMFT Approved Supervisor Mentoring for Approved Supervisor Candidates.
Internships
Sampson Family Therapy Services, LLC practices with a rotating internship program. Opportunities include short-term opportunities that may satisfy requirements for class credit, work to enhance a resume or vita for graduate school application, or practicum experience needed for graduate school clinical training.
